World Comparative Law Network

The World Comparative Law Network is an association of lawyers researching and working on the law of the Global South. In addition to the engagement with public law in countries of the Global South, the AUeV reflects the role of the Global South in international law as well as issues of transnational law and ‘law and development’.

Lawyers and members of other disciplines interested in the law of the Global South are encouraged to join the Network. Especially young researchers working on the Global South are welcome to present their work at the annual meetings of the AUeV. There is no membership fee.

Closely linked to the network is the journal Verfassung und Recht in Übersee (World Comparative Law), the only journal in Germany dedicated exclusively to the legal systems of the Global South.
